“Unfortunately, we are currently unable to ship Kindles or offer Kindle content in Canada. We are working to make Kindle available to our Canadian customers as soon as possible.”
I am sure there will be an update on this soon so be sure to check back, I’ll let you know as soon as there is more news about this. Shouldn’t take long before the Kindle in Canada is available.

The Kindle DX reader is available again! In stock

The Kindle DX is now in stock again! Buy yours now
Kindle DX available again
Just checked the Amazon website for the Kindle DX and this is what is says:
KINDLE DX In Stock.
Just a few hours ago it still had the ”expected to ship in 2 to 3 weeks” message so it seems the new stock of Kindle DXs has arrived! You can choose between free shipping, which takes a few days, or if you are in a hurry you can use the One-Day Shipping at checkout and have your KindleDX in your hands by tomorrow.
More rumors about the Kindle launch in the UK
The Timesonline website is reporting that the Kindle is almost ready to be sold in the UK. ”Retailer Amazon is in the final stages of preparation to launch its Kindle e-book reader in the United Kingdom.”
Amazon is understood to have outsourced all aspects of manufacturing for the Kindle ebook reader in the UK to Qualcomm, including securing ‘connectivity’ with a mobile operator in the UK. Amazon has been frantically working on having the Kindle reader ready for launch before Christmas 2009
Kindle DX Sold Out

Once again the newest Kindle is sold out. There is now a 4 to 6 week wait before the Kindle DX will ship. Early adopters and those who pre-ordered their DX’s can enjoy actually having one. Just in time for vacation. If you were sitting on the fence about getting a DX and think you may want one, you may want to put your order in. If past history is any indication then the DX will continue to be out of stock as new orders come in, and new inventory is shipped.
So, by getting your order in now you will be sure to have your DX for the fall when school starts. Plus, what’s more fun then sitting outside on a brisk autumn day reading text books and pdf files on your Kindle DX? OK, lot’s of things, but the DX is still pretty cool. If you aren’t that interested in reading PDF files and technical documents, and just want a lightweight ebook reader then you can still get the Kindle 2 which was shipped in February. In fact if you order early and choose next day shipping you can have the regular Kindle by tomorrow.
It’s also not to late to shop for the latest Kindle accessories and to browse the ever increasing book supply. Amazon has a large selection of Kindle Covers that are worth taking a look at. If you want a DX and can’t wait a month you may be able to find one available on eBay, but you will pay a premium price for the convenience of getting a sold out item now. Unless you are having some kind of Kindle DX emergency, it’s probably best to put your order in and wait the month or so. Good Luck!
Amazon Catching UP With Kindle Supply
Correction as of January 4th 2009 there is now a 7-9 week wait. So if anyone is still waiting on there Christmas Kindle it should show up pretty soon.
Now that the holiday season is winding down. It’s becoming a little easier to get a new Kindle
there is still a wait but now it’s down to 8 to 10 weeks instead of 11 to 13. So if you’ve got some Christmas money and still didn’t get that Kindle you wanted.
You’ll be able to order a new Kindle from Amazon for 359$ and you’ll receive it in a couple of months. No matter what your holiday wishes are. The Everything Kindle team would like to wish everyone a safe, happy and prosperous New Year. May your days be filled with learning and growing and enjoy the company of those you love.
