Just checked the Amazon website for the Kindle DX and this is what is says:
KINDLE DX In Stock.
Just a few hours ago it still had the ”expected to ship in 2 to 3 weeks” message so it seems the new stock of Kindle DXs has arrived! You can choose between free shipping, which takes a few days, or if you are in a hurry you can use the One-Day Shipping at checkout and have your KindleDX in your hands by tomorrow.
Where to buy a Kindle?
Where can I buy a Kindle?
Recently I have noticed that people are searching for places to buy a kindle. Typing things like “where can I buy a Kindle?” or “where to purchase a Kindle?” they hope to find a Kindle for sale in some store or nearby shop. Unfortunately, the only place to buy a Kindle or a Kindl DX is amazon.com. You can’t get them at stores, only by placing an order online.
In the nearby future there are other companies launching their own ebook reader models and maybe that will make amazon think again about limiting their distribution to only their website. I’m sure if the Kindle was sold at Walmart the number of sales would jump through the roof. But meanwhile, you’ll need to go to amazon.com to get your kindle.
